which would you rather have? A tale of two hatches

2002 SAAB 9-3 hatchback turbo Mint condition fully loaded

or

2004 SVT ZX5 with the EAP

Both mint

I gotta choose between the two since I can't keep both.

Im gonna lose my a$$ on the SAAB if I sell it..

Not sure which would be easier to sell either...

your thoughts?

i would def say keep the eap foci.
but that is my opinion, and i am not a fan od saab. everything is backwards in those cars, but they do have alot of potential.
i also think it would be easier to sell the saab

Saab has higher resale value. is prolly more reliable. already turboed.

SVT is there for the kid in you.

id say ditch the Focus. a focus enthusiast will pick up the SVT real quick. if you try to sell the Saab on your own, its gonna take a while. Saabs arent as popular cars.

the smart thing to do is to keep the Saab.

Wow! I am genuinely surpised as I totally expected that this forum would say for the most part to keep the SVT..

But I understand, the SAAB IS a very very nice car with excellent seats and the hatch is amazingly huge and useful.

I kinda figured the SVT would be easier to get rid of and the EAP seats as nice as they are don't hold a candle to the SAAB seats for comfort. Since I am a tall and big guy, the Recaros do pinch me in the hips and that is way uncomfortable.
Also little things like a rear light for my kid to use, a rear armrest, HUGE hatch and overall better looking car kinda makes me lean towards the SAAB.

but the SVT is so much fun to drive, and handles and stops like nothing else.

Of course keep the SVT...

but you should write out the pros and cons of each and see whats what.

Also, the SVT may not be easier to sell, there isnt a huge market for them (at least in my area, dont know about yours).

Tough choice... Is a 2002 Saab still pre-GM?

Although I prefer an SVTF to almost anything, I dig older Saabs and believe they're among the safest cars on the road (Volvo "owns" safety in the marketing/perception world, but I've heard some say that Saabs are even safer).

Dunno about the Saab necessarily being more reliable, though - especially given the Turbo.

Maybe you should put them BOTH up for sale and see which one you'll "lose your ass" on less...
