So what do you guys think.... GTO/Vette

Im saving up 10K to buy a new car... and i will be seriously looking to buy one around june. I am expecting 9-10 trade in on my car and with the 10K i have cash i will have 19-20K to put down on a new car. I am looking for a decent car that i can get for 25K out the door (that way i only take out a 5K loan)

I was considering the Pontiac GTO because its got 400 horsepower but i have read that alot of people have problems with them...

I am also considering a used 2000's or so corvette with under 30K miles. 350 horsepower but it has alot better handling them the GTO.

I want something thats got power and has the "wow" factor to it... you guys know what i mean, you see a car and you just HAVE to do a double take. The GTO would be thes ultimate sleeper but i would get very annoyed with comments like "is that a grand am?" or "looks like a cavalier"....

I have also considered the mustang but it seems too cheap on the interior and everyone has them. I have also considered the mazda's but theres nothing i really like that they have to offer.

The point of making this thread.... no idea, but what do you guys think of the cars?

I like both really, even though I see vette's everywhere. But of the two, I would go for the GTO as well. I have seen some really nice ones out here. Also, what about a Charger? Thought about one of those?

GTO! have to get the 05 (hood scoops/duel exhaust). I have loved them since they came out, sucks they are not made anymore. But, Pontiac is coming out with the G8 soon i think. Basically a 4door restyled gto that has around 350hp i think.

The corvette will be $312 CHEAPER to insure a year.
The GTO will cost $400 MORE to insure a year.
