so i don't know if this has ever happened to anyone else but i thought thsi was pretty interesting. I had a 1-800 number that kept calling me. finnaly i just forget it and called them to see who the heck it was. it was the local ford dealership. the lady said that they are looking to get a few 02 SVT back and that they were willing to make a deal for it. i said i dont care i i am not getting rid of my car but i just thought that is was pretty intertesting. what do you think and has this ever happened to anyone else?

They don't want SVT's back in particular, they're just trying to get you to buy a new car. Most dealers send something in the mail saying the same thing.

Sure enough, I got my postcard in the mail. The dealer I bought it from 3 years ago now wants it back. "We've had numerous requests for a car like yours."

So....people want a base Focus with stick, manual windows and not much else, eh? In WHITE, no less, a traditionally slow-selling color.

The way I see it, Ford has to lie to me to get me back in to buy a new car. Way to go Ford. Think I'll pass up this 'opportunity'.

i got something only weeks after i bought my car saying that they are looking for 04 focus, the car wasnt even a year old yet.

they just want you to get a new ford and they would deff try to sell you on something else than a focus.

A friend at work was shopping for a new car for his wife when a local Dodge dealer how much he owed on his F-150 (not the vehicle he was going to trade, mind you.). My friend had aleady sank some cash into this truck, exhaust, 6in lift, tires, rims tint and some accessories. He told the dealer what he owed and the dealer offered him that plus $10k. He's rolling around in a new Dodge truck, now.

heh! i keep getting letters with rub offs on them from a dealership that i had some warrenty work done at and lots of other mumbo-jumbo about we'll give you $8500* for your focus (*04 sedan with so-so options). the scratch off was that you can win up to $10k cash or other prizes. after going to the dealership with my scratch-off thinking i was gonna get something with my "3 cherries" all it was just that typical free vacation where they pay for a hotel but you have to pay all transportation fees. lol. hell i would have setteled for that cheap $40 digital camera.

it's all just a scam anyways. ford hires 3rd party soliciting companys to go out and try to get you to come to the dealership.
