Thinking of buying an '02 Focus

A dealer in my town is selling a 2002 Focus LX (power everything, leather seats, auto) with 65k for $4700. I am going to try to talk him down to $4200. Regardless, with the car being in good condition (no body issues, good mechanics) do you think $4700 is still a good deal?

I am assuming that this is a ZETEC...I know nothing about ZETECs. What are the main concerns about these engines? Also, when does the timing belt need to be replaced?

Thanks for the help!

sounds like a pretty fair price.....just check out the under carriage look for leaks....and inspect the tire wear....make sure all the suspension looks legit

Since it is an LX, it is not a zetec.

But that is still a GREAT price.

Yea, it its an LX...id say no, you could do better then that. Plus the LX's really came with SPI engines. Also you might wanna look for something newer then an 02...00-02 really had alot of recalls and probs, alittle less in 02 then previous years but really to be safe and get the best get the newest year you can.
