No idea, Ford will probably tell you no. They'd have to do alot of fabrication and even if they said yes, it would cost you lots and lots of money. Many of the high end GPS units they have come with bluetooth hands free phone systems and txt to speech...not to mention the gps, which sync does not come with. Only thing your lacking is the ability to change your ipod or other mp3 player by voice. The whole thing definilty would not be cheap and probably wouldnt be worth doing it. Also dont forget the buttons to use the thing are on the steering wheel, which is another thing theyd have to change.

Go buy a gps unit with bluetooth or the Harmon Kardon Ipod 2 Player, which also has bluetooth.

Car PC is your answer. You can do everything that Sync can, plus whatever else you can dream up. It cost me about $2k to put one in my Focus, but that was a couple years ago, so the electronics are probably cheaper now.

Its not worth the work, I work at ford and went to a training class on the matter. The Sync system is not just a head unit, each car the system is put in was made to be extra quiet b/c the microphone is SENSITIVE and if it does not get a clear command it will not respond. Also if I'm not mistaken the cars PCM is involved as well.

IMO, Sync is a waste; and it will save me the embarrasment of talking to the dashboard for a particular thing which I might never use in my life.

Thank god that didn't happen to my focus.

lol, almost sounds to me like some people are upset that Sync wasn't around when they bought their cars...

Even if that's not the case, I think it's an awesome option on the new Fords.

I think the Sync technology is pretty sweet if you are someone who'd use it. I'm very old school and probably would never turn it on...actually I know I never would. I'm sure there are better systems out there that you can have. All these extra things tied into the electrical system of cars from the factory, just lead to more things that can go wrong if you ask me. I'd seriously consider buying aftermarket stuff. Trying to switch things from one factory vehicle to another probably isn't the best idea.
