How much do you pay for car insurance?

I just got my paperwork in the mail.

2002 Ford Focus SVT
25 years old
No tickets, 5 year good driver
Full coverage
$1,000 deductible

6 month premium= 482.80$

Not bad. Dropped $100 off the premium after my 25th birthday in July.

03 SVT Clean Driver record and a 1000 dollar deductable, right now I'm paying 158 a month but I just turned 25 today so we'll see how much they drop it

I don't know if this is the same with all insurance companies but with mine I didn't get a decrease in my premium until the premium after my birthday. It sucked though because I turned 25 in July, but my next premium didn't start until January. So I had to wait that long until the discount to take affect.

I don't think it drops at 21, it drops at 25 though, but I believe it is contingent on your driving record staying relatively clean.

yeah 25 is the big marker for drops in insurance rates, if you got a break at 21 then you were either lucky or they were charging alot before you turned 21

It's weird, after my wreck and everything was final, they sent me another check for 68$. I don't remember the exact reason. Then they dropped my insurance to 66/month. Woo-Hoo! I'm 27 and have a fairly clean record. I use State Farm.

$65.57 a month for full coverage, but I'm old and have a clean record.
