Just courious.. Does anyone know..

Where I can buy (new or used) a 2.0L SVT Focus engine? I'm looking to mod out my 86' EXP, and that would probably be the best suited motor (at least in my opinion). The transmission won't really be a problem to get and fit on, just need the motor.. Thanks for any help that will be given to me =]

I don't know where to find an SVT engine new or used, I was GOING to say ebay; but I am a big anti-ebay person.

I know Cosworths website crates brand new european tuned duratec engines, that is alot better than finding a needle in a haystack. There crates are prices at around $8,000 or something; Craigslist is also a needle in a haystack find for SVT engines.

no not the Explorer... Ford Ran an EXP in the 80's kinda like an escort might even be the same thing

thats what i was looking for

For a long time, some were adamant that the letters stood for “EXPerimental"; others said that Ford marketing executives just thought it was a cool combination of letters and wasn't intended to really mean anything. However, according to an article published in Popular Mechanics (March 1981), the letters EXP are supposed to stand for Erika Project Personal car (Project cars are designated X). The "Erika" came from the codename from the European Escort.

Isn't the exp like an old escort? That car part site is pretty cool! You have to know exactly what you need though... intake manifold code, etc.
