Weather HUGE FACTOR

I know this has prob been posted but the weather is a huge issue with power i feel. When its like 85-90 degrees out my car just feels like a turd, like a stock focus ;). But when its like 40-50 out at night it just has so much more power, like in 1st and 2nd it just throws people back in there seat and raises hell. I mean of course cold air is going to help thats only common sense, but i didnt think it was this big of a factor.

THis prob has also been said but there has to be a way to run the a/c up to the intake somehow so u can have cold air blowing right into it, like make a custom box with the a/c running into it so its sucking in cold air all the time. However by doing this, i wouldnt even gain much power i think because it takes a good bit of power to run the a/c am i not right????

I would say you are right. I know when I turn on the A/C in my car, the car definitely is alot more sluggish. If anything, sure you would get better gains on the intake side but they would probably just cancel out the drain from the A/C leaving you with relatively the same issue. Just guessing but it make sense to me.

haha why buy a v8? Gas prices are high. I mean 1.87 for 87 octane is high. I mean id rather get like a vr6 golf that have a good bit of hp and tq and get 27-30mpg :) out of a 6 cylinder.

I tried what my fater used to do when he was into cars. install a box with dry ice. Kind of freaks people out when you show up to race, pop the hood and get out a styrofoam container and start dumping ice in.

Or just stick a wet 50 shot nitrous system on it.

Oh yeah, I can picture it now, head on down the highway, do some fishing in a small creek in the mountains, open the hood of your car and throw in the fresh fish you caught to quick freeze them to ensure freshness. Oh yeah, I see the potential in this already....

Yeah it might keep the engine bay a bit cooler but would be kind of lame looking these days, sure in the past it would have been a cool add on, or unique anyway, but nowadays, you would probably be looked at as a freak if you did something like that. That is worse than rice, that is like *what is worse than rice*?

*EDITED....

Actually I found some stuff on the net about this, and it's true........
