Arrow Help Water Leak

I'm looking for some help. I have a 2000 Focus ZTS and I'm having a problem with water leaking onto the front passenger floor from what i believe is the A frame running down the kick panel.(it's coming more from the area of the top right hand corner of the windshield or above from there). I bought the car in Feb 04 and noticed it in Mar 04 when it rained really hard.I took it to the dealership and they said that I needed the windshield resealed so of course I had it done. I didn'tnotice anymore leaking but then again haven't had really hard rain til this morning, it's leaking agin. So took the car back into the dealership and they can see that there is water leaking but they can't find exactly where and when they do the water test it won't leak for them. They had their glass man come back out but he says it's not the windshield. Has anybody had this problem or know someone who has. I'm up for some ideas PLEASE.

Yes very common problem, took my dealer about 30 minutes to fix it.

It could also coming from the windshield cowl. Someone may have put in the cabin air filter and didn't re-install it right, messed up the seal or broke the clips that hold it down.

Be careful taking a problem like this to the dealer unless the car is still under warranty.
Someone else here got taken for $300 or so just to reseal the cowl!

Thanks but I've taken it to the dealer twice the first time they so called resealed the top right hand corner of the windshield and it's not under warranty so i paid for that along with the water testing fees and the second time I took it they didn't charge me for them to check it out again and they say they can't find the problem but I could replace door seals which they really don't believe is the problem but just to see if it would work (just a guessing game to them). And I really don't want to continue throwing money to replace something that doesn't need to be fix. That's why i'm trying to look for some advice here. On certain things to get checked out.

10 to 1 says its the cowl seal. That was my leak's culprit. You'd think that with so many occurences they'd make it a recall. I got hit with a $300 + bill for it. But they were nice enough to not charge labor for changing the cabin filter! WOOT!

And yes, sadly, I am he that didhefocus was referring to. Although, think about it in these terms: It may be a small leak, but it was (according to them) a 2 hour job. That can get up there quick. It could have been worse...
