Uh.

Dont?

You WILL pay 35 grand for a 17 grand car.

Just buy a white fit, paint it yellow. Seriously.

agreed..to import a car that already exists here because of the color is retarded. get a paint job. importing makes you have to meet crash tests, pay the importing fees, its ridiculous. dont do it

some dude in a local car club has a RHD integra GSR which was imported. I understand the process is very conveluded and expensive. Unless you are perfectly willing to, as stated above, "pay 35k for a 17k car"...dont do it. And just do it for the color is ridiculous, you could have a custom paint done and still not pay as much as you would to import it. You could buy one and mod it to to the max with that kid of money.

not only that but im thinking about getting a mitsu FTO in the future.

I know a kid who just bought a civic type r from japan. Cost him almost 20,000 for everything. Which isnt bad because i can get the fto for about the same price.

Just, but something in the states.

1) NOBODY will work on it.
2) Unless you're a wrencher (Not hobby guy, someone whos a mechanic), you = boned if things break
3) Parts WILL be a bitch
4) Good luck on insurance and vin registration (FTO mostly, but any "true import" will cost more because of parts)

Its just not worth it. The only time its "worth" it is if its something crazy amazing. And even then, it needs to be something you can afford to set on fire and walk away from and not feel the pain of the money being tossed out.
