My new 2007 C-Dan!!!!

lollerskates...my 2007 Cashmere Beige Kia Rio LX sedan...

My SPI crapped out on me at 110k miles, so I just decided to get a new car. The 10 year/100k mile warranty and six standard airbags sold me on it. J.D. Power and Associates FINALLY gave this car a decent 4/5 overall rating too.

hmm interesting choice, how do you like it? looks bleh, but its not a bad car, kias are getting pretty good reviews, and are fairly cheap and a great warranty

The black plastic all around the exterior of the car looks makes it look cheap.

Otherwise, I like it a lot.

The interior is definetley "bleh"...what you would expect from a economy compact car, but other than that, everything is pretty nice. It runs very smooth, and accelerates nicely. I'm so used to shifting with my FC short-throw, and this one feels like I'm shifting with a keilbasa.

Thanks. I read somewhere that Kia was taking the Rio and Spectra in a more "european" direction, hence the redesinged fenders.

I would tint it.
The interior looks like it's pretty good quality.
The gauges and radio look not bad either, but I would replace the radio with a Pioneer AVIC-D3 (Mostly for navigation).

{Edit}
How does it ride? Solid, smooth?

It runs very smoothly and quietly. I've actually stalled out a few times because I was so used to the sound of the Focus (with the Magnaflow cat-back and AEM short-ram). I think we're getting the windows tinted next week, mostly to keep the sun out of baby's eyes. I was suprised by the clarity of the stereo when we listened to CDs, especially since the head unit and speakers are all manfactured by Kia.

ZERO. Eibach makes a Pro-Kit, K&N has a drop-in filter, and that's about it.

Hey! I sell those! Haha...not a bad car, eh? Everybody (including me) is surprised by sitting in them...quite a bit of room inside them, especially for rear passengers, and they really aren't "tinny" like everybody thinks. JD Power gave it the #1 subcompact rating for 2007, so I don't know...it can't be that bad. Plus up to 44 mpg...how can you go wrong with that!? 6 standard air bags? Good choice!
