Loud clunking noises

Anyone expierienced loud noises when acellerating out of a tight corner.
It happens every once in a while when pulling away from a light, but on friday I went to a little autocross event and man I thought I was destroying my new car.
I dont know if its the traction control(it was off but the course was tight ie slow) or a ball joint or subframe mounts but it was scary.
My car is totaly stock 03 zx3 SVT.
anyone had this?
should I be concerned or is it a normal focus noise?

did it happen after you depress your brakes?

also my buddy went through 3 stock CV joints (all changed by ford) in a year. might be your cv joints. diffently go to the dealership.

Yeah its after hard braking and downshifting/engine braking then back to throtle.
but also just when the car is loaded in a corner and you hit a bump.
It dosent happen al the time though I've driven it pretty hard( 9/10ths) on some pretty demanding roads that arent exactly smooth and it hasent happened.
I m going to jack it up and check it out under there, ball joints cv's(thanks), bushings.
Do you think it might be engine movement?
thanks for your replies

could also mean that your pads are worn down to the metal and its sticking to the rotors. happened to me a couple months ago, it makes loud clunking when acc....

or it could be the cvjoints.. let us know what you find.
