Focus Model Year Differences

OK, I know the differences between the 00-04 and the 05-07 Foci, but what are the things that tell an 00 from an 01, 02, etc? And how do you tell an 05 from an 06 and an 07?

Headlights, taillights, and powerplant difference. Thats basically it. Although they pretty much used the same frame cage from the first gens, it that the second gens used a much alternative approach.

The headlights changed for the '03 model (grey color)
The steering wheel got a larger Ford logo lol for the '02 model
The '03 model introduces the radio cd MP3 player with minor changes.

What's the difference for the taillights (sedan/hatch)? I thought there were no changes.

what else guys? lol

The interiors slowly got cheaper, for example my 01 ZX3 had cloth sunvisors while my 04 SVT has cheapo vinyl ones.

2000.5: Revised Zetec intake manifold.

2001: Front and rear bumper got color matched lip, as opposed to all black.

2002.5: Upgraded shifter tower with different shift knob. Larger steering wheel logo. Vinyl visors instead of cloth (I think, may be 2003). Dash vent logos not painted. Door interior trim looses plastic 'eye brow'

2003: New 16" wheels. Grey headlight housings. Blasck plastic side skirts gone. 2.3l Duratec introduced in green states. Some cars get grey gauges / red needles like found in S2. Some hatches get shiny rear triangle trim piece.

2004: All cars get black gauges again. Rear sway bar starts disappearing on lower trim models. Duratec 2.3l found in all states based on options/trim levels.

2005: Introduce Mk1.5 cars. 2.3l gets uprated hp, and 3.82 final drive (instead of 3.41). Introduce 2.0l Duratec.

00-05 have the same struts and shocks.

06-07 have a revised strut.

Also in 07 ZX3 and ZX5 was dropped. They are labeled 2 and 4 door hatchbacks.
