You Just Gotta Love Our Hatchbacks.....

Well our dryer bit the dust this past week, so off to Home Depot we went in search of a new one, (that was an adventure in itself).

Found a decent Maytag model within our budget. Its a pretty big dryer at 7.1 cubic feet. Loaded it up on a cart & off to the parking lot we went.

Had to take it out of the box, but after that, smooth sailing. Went right in with room to spare, basically swallowed it like a porn star. Just might be another reason why I love my little car......

HUZZAH!! That's great! I had to cram a baby crib in mine a few months back.

I've got a question though. Does anyone know if there's a safety device that cuts engine power if a door is left open?

When I was carrying the crib the hatch wouldn't close all the way. So I used a bungie cord to secure it. On the way home I was on a hill at a red light that I've been at a million times before and it almost stalled it twice and barely got it to chug through the intersection. I know it wasn't due to weight because I could pick up the entire box myself and I've had more than 4 times the weight in the back of my ZX3 before without a problem.

Not to jack your thread here, but here's a pic of my first hatch that I used to haul 18 bags of mulch back from Menard's three times!

Swallowed it like a porn star....TMFF!

I saw a video of how many people could fit in a Ford Focus trunk, 7 people came out and that was with the seats up.

It did actually, but it was a pain to vacuum all that crap out afterwards.
