Greetings fellow Foci fans

Hi all,

I am a new Focus owner caught up in the frenzy that accompanies a new (kinda) vehicle that impresses and exceeds one's expectations. I have read for years that the Focus was a highly regarded model from C&D and CR, and was really interested when shopping. Coming from a Mazda which was one impressive vehicle ('94 MX-3 GS), I liked the 3 GT, but for $10K less than new for the 3, I got a mint '05 ST.

I have a focussport race CAI and front and rear stress bars on order. Good first step I think.

This is such an impressive car from stock, I think that the right mods will make it an immensively entertaining daily driver. I think the next step will be a rear engine mount and the Quaife LSD. I just can't throw the hammer down coming out of the corners like the MX-3, but the extra 30 ft.lbs are killing the 205s.

I am soon going to Redline tranny oil and Mobil1/Redline engine oil.

I would like to post more, but I am very busy. I would like to share my experiences as much as possible, Ilike the technical issues and believe that I can help out. I have a heavy duty mechanic's license and a mechanical engineering degree with lots of auto experience.

My avatar and signature need work, but i haven't yet detailed the pitch black paint so hold on.

Cheers from the Great White North. Well, it's more like the midwest States, but...

Thanks man, I try to know what I am getting into before I commit. BTW, I assume everyone has drooled over the ford.co.uk website. WTF doesn't Ford bring the Mk2 or Mondeo over here? Blows me away, but their truck line has all the bases covered.

Get yourself some 17 inch wheels. At least in the summer you'll get better grip out of the corners. an LSD is well worth it if you got the cash.

Cheers!
