Engine Casting Number Decoding

Hey guys I got my hands on an old ford V8 block for next to nothing, however I don't know what size it is. I've been studying casting Numbers and figured out I have something out of a 1952 ford. My question is, can you tell the block size by the casting number or do you need to find another number? the casting number is: B2AE-6015-BA-14

Thanks
Mouse

I think the only Ford OHV V-8 in 1952 was the Y-block. And I think you need more info, like a three-letter code.
Check this page out...

Hope this helps.

OHV engines weren't used in Ford vehicles until 1954. Only Lincolns had them in 1952 and 53.
