Pics of the 2005 ST sedan

The dealership I got my SVT from, had just received a 2005 ST fully loaded sedan the previous day. I took some pics. I don't like the car, not at all. The CD holder is cool, besides that the I think it's a step backwards from the 2004. I can't believe Ford decided to make their high-end car a sedan instead of a hatchback. Well, I'll let you guys decide.

Imagestation doesn't allow hotlinking. Check out www.photobucket.com, just as simple if not easier and the pics will show up.

i have also seen the new st, and driven it. i like it more then the old models. yeah, the changes to the dash look like trash, but i like the changes to the exterior. after the drive, i parked it next to an 04 sedan. and carefully compared all the changes, and exterior wise, there is not one i disapprove of.

it was a blast to drive, although traffic was too heavy to really push it. it was quick, zippy, responsive.

i actually like the idea that their "sporty" version of the new focus is the sedan. it makes sense to me since i own, and love, my sedan. also, it makes sense from a business standpoint for ford. to the best of my knowledge, sedan sales far surpassed hatchback sales. i know it sucks for the hatch lovers out there, but ford is in this business to make money, not please you.

Urn, I didn't know you test-drove the new 05... I think you're one of (if not the) first to do so on FF. Any more impressions you care to share, I want details! And it was the ST, so it had the 2.3 engine, right? I personally think there should be a ST sedan and hatch- the hatch is sportier in general, so that makes sense, but also I can see people who like the sedan styling but want something sporty under the hood too... maybe later.

i am not the first. illini (if i spelled his name right) had the oppertunity to drive one a couple months ago. you can search that thread for his impressions.

but i believe i am the frist to go on a dealer test drive. i do not want to jack this thread, so i will start one about my impressions.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. What is hotlinking? Do the images not show up for you? I thought imagestation was the best way to go for this, everyone should be able to see them.

Yeah, I just get an Imagestation banner, no picture. I think they used to allow you to link the picture from them, but they've since stopped doing that... which is annoying of them. I mean sometimes they show up, like now I see all but a couple. Ha, that engine sure looks familiar, but unlike normal ones!
