First off this should be in tech chat.

Secondly, what the hell did you buy?

6 quarts of crap to go into a 2.1 quart approx fill?

Amsoil what?

Redline what?

Gear fluid for what?

Depends on what type of trany you have in your car. Two main types made were the iB5 and the MTX75.
The iB5 has no drain plug and you have to pull the one or both of the driveshafts to drain the old fluid.
The MTX75 has a drain plug on the base of the differential housing. To fill you then take a plug out that is mounted higher on the housing. The recommended level is 5 to 10 mm from the bottom of the plug hole.
The info I just listed is for manual transaxles..........I am assuming that is what you have???

Since you already have the gear oil, this might not be an issue. I replaced my (MTX75) tranny fluid with mobil 1 synthetic ATF fluid. That's right, ATF fluid. I would not do this unless you were going to a good synthetic but it really smoothed out the shifts. This was especially true with cold weather conditions when it felt hard to shift. I used it for over 15k mi with no problems.

to use a atx fluid in a manual tranny that wasn't designed for it is just plain crazy. the clearances in manufacturing are very different for the two different oils. you will see serious problems later in life from this oil swap. use what is recommended.

why do you have the red line tranny fluid AND the redline gear oil? is that recommended?

yes, I know several tranny's recommend ATF. My T-5 uses it. But the tranny in the focus uses gear oil. To use ATF in it is asking for trouble
