Smile Plan on getting a Focus in a month or so

He everyone, im new to the forums ive been searchin around for a while but finally became a member.

I was debating between the 2004 Focus zx3 or zx5, the 2004 Nissn ser spec v and the 2004 mazda 3s. After looking at the insurance rates ive decided on the focus. I just wanted to know what should I really pay for a zx3 premium, with pwr snrf and a manual trans. the dealer said that he would give it to me at 900 above invoice which dosent really seem worth it then to me. I was just wondering what you guys all thought

Thanks

Maanav

My dealer went down to invoice on my 03 zx3 in july of that year... but dealers seem to be getting the 05's already, so I'd say at least go down to invoice on what you're looking at. good luck, good choice and welcome!

I'd go with the 5 speed, I like them better. I'm not sure on prices, you should check around.

Well I did say I want the manual trans. and the focus only comes in a 5 speed (except svt). I'll still have to see tho if I want to get the 2004 with the 2.3 or wait and get a 2005 with the 2.0

I believe I found the invoice price online. Oh, but now if you price the car at fordvehicles.com it will be an 05... check out edmunds.com or kbb.com for New Car pricing, I believe Invoice is one of their columns.

Make sure you print out the edmunds.com report when you deal with the dealer. This way you can double check all the charges. I would also pay no more than invoice for it, even at that price dealers still make money from kickbacks.

If you are a recent college grad, there is a $500 rebate.

You should get the 2.3. I have yet to drive one, but I hear, and read, that they are some great engines.
