Focus TDCi

Should Ford bring the Focus TDCi to the states?......And would it sell?
(Refer to VW's TDI being sold on U.S. soil)
(Refer to rising Gas/Diesel CO$T)

I think Ford will have better luck selling a Hybrid Focus than a diesel version.

The VW diesel has been in production forever. I'm not sure about the Ford.

i think they should bring it over. (though i do not know a whole lot about it)

desiel fuel is not that hard to find. sure its not at every corner gas station, but it is not hard to find by any means, atleast not around here. besides, doesnt desiel get better mpg then gas? and atleast around here it is cheaper.

more gas stations offer diesel now (at least in Chicago) than few years ago, but I agree with HOTFOCUS. Ford would make a smart move bringing hybrid Focus then diesel to USA. I would buy hybrid Focus for sure and not because I am a green freak, I just like to save money.

I think it could be a good idea. I know VW kind of has a hold on that market, but does it necessarily mean if Ford came up with a car of same type no one would buy it? I know my gauge is about at the 1/4 full mark but I've been avoiding driving whenever possible lately so I can delay having to fill up... it's not gonna be a good time.
I think a TDCi Focus would be great for commuters who do like 100 miles a day and have to fill up their tanks all the time but don't want something like the Prius or Insight. A hybrid Focus would be real cool too... maybe we'll see one sometime, they've already put a hybrid engine in the Escape.

i dont think i would want a hybrid... arent those things slow? a desiel i could defiantly use. i drive atleast 60 miles a day, 6 days a week, even the cheap gas is expensive when you use that much of it.
