Lightbulb Reprograming vs CIA?

I'm searching for a way to improve the air flow in my car. Several people that I've talked to have suggested very radical solutions. Some of my mechanic friends recommend a CIA while others suggest reprograming the ECU to allow greater mixing power. Any idea which way to go?

Hi,
IMHO just reprogramming an ECU wouldn't do much, I guess. By installing a CAI (whatever brand you like) you already improve on your airflow however, you have to unplug the battery while installing it to allow the ECU to reset itself and to calibrate for the better airflow. By the time you have finished the install of the CAI, replug the battery and start the car, the ECU recalibrates and all will be done. Hope this helps a bit. Have fun and take care,
Paul.

Its best to just get the CAI at the moment. You dont have enough done to the car to warrant reprogramming the ecu. Save up for a chip/tuner (reprogrammer) when you have more done to the car.

You'll want to get either a CAI or a short ram intake being that you have an 07. On the 05-07 cars, the stock intake is huge! You'll definately get more bang for your buck right away with the CAI.

cai/sri is the way to go right now....i wouldnt get a tune/re-flash until you have at least a cat back and an air intake.
