Well I wouldn't buy it anyways, it just radio that U have to pay and thats stupid. Plus it a pain in the ass literally, U will be paying $100 to have it installed, I don't mind the 12 dollars. but it another unit.

After reading these comments, I figured I'd give my $0.02. I have had Sirius Radio for about 2 years now, and I have to say I would not give it up for anything. I get great music, the unit was a $100 and I got a lifetime subscription for $500. I don't have to pay any monthly fees or dues, and the subscription is transferrable on up to 3 more radios. I don't think that will happen anytime soon bc that radio has fallen off my windshield a few times and it still works perfectly. Plus I get perfect reception almost anywhere I am, crystal clear sound (as clear as a CD) and different, new music.

The negative side? I spent $600 one month....but I feel it has paid its dues many times over to me...

(I guess that was more like $0.10, huh?)

Everyone has their own opinions though.

if I steal a TV can i not get cable service for it?

This has nothing to do with Sirius, The radios aren't their product.

Btw, if you pay to have a sat radio installed in your car then you deserve to have it stolen..

my entire car would have to be stolen for my Sirius radio to be stolen.

i wouldnt get rid of my sirius because they reactivate stolen ones. its not their problem if your radio is stolen. if i were them i would activate them to,besides if they start doing more to track stolen radios who do you think will pay for it??? sometimes people just expect way to much.

I agree with waffles, their service is awesome. I bought it for my mom and step-dad because they drive down to their boat weekly and cruise it around, stay over night on it. Now they have their music where ever they go and they dont have to learn about mp3's and all the software, etc.

My car stereo came sat radio ready, so I dont have a big ol' unit on my dash or window....detactable face, etc. So if you do it right - you have no problems. Anyone who's lived in a big city will tell you straight up dont advertise turn that sh!t down when you pull into the hood or lot, take the unit off the dash or window and stash it away.

I've had it since March of last year. I would not give it up for anything. Stern is AMAZING now. The programming is awesome. and if I don't like one thing, I can go to 120 other places. Instead of old radio where if I don't like a song, I change to the EXACT same genre of music. CD's are a waste w/ my Sirius.

Are you kidding me??? As part of business procedure, the could electronically deactivate that receivers code in their systems to prevent unlawful use and causing billing problems for their current customers. On the otherhand, I'll agree that if you don't have the common sense to remove the unit when you're not in the vehicle, then you get what's coming to you and you should have to deal with the hassles of correcting the situation.

Furthermore, Sirius and XM radio companies are so far into debt, I wouldn't count on them lasting any more than the next two years. Or some type of merger to maintain business operations.

Final point, whether it's your fault or not, Sirius should at least attempt to deactivate stolen or lost receivers.

Having had both Sirius and XM, I can say that Sirius is far superior. The only reason I have XM now is because the programming lineup I listen to is XM-exclusive. And I have issues with XM constantly losing its signal even with a totally clear sky...my Sirius receiver wouldn't lose its signal unless I went under a wide bridge or through a tunnel, XM craps out when I go under a streetlight.
