nightshaded tails

i baught a set of tail lights that were night shaded off another member, they have been great but tonight i went to pump gas and noticed that the one light has what looks like a bubble in the paint. im not sure how it happened. what im wondering is, is there a way to strip the nightshade off and re-tint them? i cant just put on another coat cuz it would be too dark. any tips? i was think maybe paint thinner might take it off. but im not sure.

Acetone works well on niteshade that's been applied for a long time. I've tried paint thinner and denatured...paint thinner has almost no effect, and denatured works well if you need to clean it off before its had time to cure.
