Ugh this car!

I bought a 2003 Focus ZTS on March 14, 2007 with 54,187 miles. It is now one month later with 54,700 miles and has the following problems (which I think were wrong with the car when i bought it, some of them I KNOW were..)

-Ignition lock cylinder left me stranded. I fixed this myself thanks to b16 Mike (thanks buddy).

-Downstream O2 sensor. Check engine light flashed on the way home from the dealership lol. Replaced it myself but the light is STILL on... I think Advanced Auto might have sold me an upstream sensor.

-Six CD changer will not load CDs. When I hit load, it says WAIT and then it says error. There are no CDs (nor were there when I bought the car) in the drive. This was wrong with the car when I bought it.

-The wheels were making a chirping noise. I took off the right front tire to discover that a spring was not properly latched on when the brakes were done last and that spring was loose and scraping the aluminum off my rims. I put the spring back into place.

-The car shakes at 55 MPH and up. The wheels are not properly aligned or balanced, something that should've been taken care of by the dealer prior to selling me the car, yes?

-And just recently....? The clutch master cylinder is leaking fluid into my car. I was driving yesterday and the pad that goes over the clutch pedal came off and fell on the floor. I picked it up and my noticed that my clutch pedal on up was drenched in brake fluid. I checked the resevoir to notice it was just about empty! Imagine if I hadn't checked! Oh yeah, they didn't give me floor mats with the car so now the carpet near the pedals is stained with brake fluid. The service techs at the dealer are trying to argue that there were no leaks on the car and this just "happened as normal wear and tear" after I bought it.

The dealer's name is Brown's Mazda of Alexandria and even though I have a 3 month, 3,000 mile warranty, they are refusing to cover any of the above listed problems. So much for that 150 point check and the title "Brown's certified used car." The service manager even hung the phone up on me! So now I have about $1,500+ worth of problems on my hands.

Sorry for the rant. Wanted to vent. I hope after this mess gets fixed that this car will prove to be reliable like everyone says they are.

how far up management have you taken it? and i'd be sure to just double check your records/warranty so that you know for sure that some of this should be covered. pitch a fit, scream and hollar until something happens.

oh, and the CD player, i think that CD player is a common problem, but in any case, if u knew it was messed up when u bought it, and didn't make sure they'd do something about it...then your kind of just screwed on that one.

WTF? Time to start
I can give you a little advice, check on ebay for the 6006 stereos. I know they suck but at least you can pick up a replacement for like $5. Sorry about your luck, man.

Well the situation was I live two hours away from the dealership. We negotiated the price on the phone and then the salesman offered to come and pick me up (2 hr drive) so we could finalize the deal. I thought sweet, now I won't have to get a rental car to do this.

When we got to the dealership, it was raining hard and the traffic was bad so all I got to do was look over the car and then sign the papers. The salesman assured me the car was in good condition. I believed him. Brown's likes to advertise that their cars are "Brown's certified used cars with 150 point inspections." lol.

Update: The service department is saying that none of the above problems is covered under the 3 mo/3000 mile warranty. Apparantly that warranty only covers "all internally lubricated parts within the powertrain" - which they say does NOT include the clutch master cylinder nor the O2 sensor. Not to mention I live two hours away from them so bringing them the car in the first place is a hassle. So I'm feeling pretty screwed right now. If anyone has any ideas as to what I could do, please don't hesitate to post. Thanks.
