Seen at the Honda dealer...

Took my wife's Odyssey in for an oil change yesterday (free of charge) and saw a couple of things that made me sit up and take notice:

1) Honda Fit in Modena Red-Before I bought the Focus I REALLY wanted this car to happen. Would look perfectly at hjome with a prancing horse emblem on the grill (Honda got that red RIGHT!!!). Don't think I could have it in any other color as it is a bit too minivan-ish (the electric blue one in the showroom didn't look too bad, though)

2) Honda Civic 4 door Si-From the side this car looks smooth (I'm not so crazy about it fron on). The Si model has a nice drop to it with some sweet rims. The bone I saw was in a deep blue/purple hue, and looked REALLY sharp. Must be over 20 large by a bit though...

I like the Fit. Once my truck is completed, the fiance and I might trade in the Focus for one.

My friend's wife just picked up an Element in that red color to go along with his Si. It is an awesome color in person. I've gone from hating the Elements to somewhat liking them. The subtle changes Honda has made to them have really improved their looks IMO.

The deep blue/purple hue you saw on the Si is called Fuji Blue Pearl. I have a 07 Si coupe in that color

I don't really like the FIT. It somehow reminds me of things dorky, blunt, clunky and bad. Any car that spells out all that with just the sight of it, really isn't made for me. I really haven't been impressed with the hatchbacks honda have been making since the second to last generation (96-01 i believe ). Yeah, i do however really dig the new coupe. The Si is just even cooler. Im not sure if i believe all that talk about it being capable of reaching 8000 rpm stock. Anywho, this model is timeless - il shit my pants if 5 years down the road Honda blows me away with an even better design.

*SIGH* Well I just got back from the Honda dealer...looks like I'm going to stay with ST for a while longer (not a bad thing) ...I was trying to see if the numbers would work for a red SI, but I was getting ripped off. I couldn't imagine the thought of making a $440 car payment for 72 months. BTW they were only giving me $7900 for my ST.

^ I was offered $5500 for my 2004 SVT, seems like a trend.

I still wanna snag a test drive in a new SI; not that I plan on buying one, but it'd be nice to be informed.

I love fits, they are pretty bad ass with K20 RSX motors! The new SI is hot to.

I'm not hating on the SI now because I couldn't afford it, but the only time I enjoyed the ride was when I was revving the crap out of it. It only felt fast after 6000 rpm until then it just felt like regular slow ass Civic to me. I couldn't imagine driving that way all the time. As far as handling goes, I think you will rather have the SVT.
