Oh My God, crazy ass ex-girlfriend put sugar in my gas tank!!!!

So my daughter is visiting me from California and her mom ( whom I choose to remain friends with) is visiting with her. So, this is pretty normal for her to come with her, since my daughter is only 4 and can't fly alone. Well, my girlfriend flips out when I left to go see my little girl as soon as she got her form the airport. I was really excited since I haven't seen her since Christmas. I guess that she was reall pissed off and hurt that I didn't take her with me to meet my daughter as soon as she got there.

I hadn't been dating this girl for that long and I thought she was really cool. I hadn't told my daughter's mom that I was even dating someone since it hadn't been that long since I started dating the girl. Love interest just isn't something that her mom and I really discuss. When we talk we talk about our daughter, nothing more really. I told my girlfriend that I didn't think that it would be apropriate that I bring her out to meet them when they had not even heard of her.

This really hurt her, and I had no intentions of hurting her at all. She felt that I was ashamed of her somehow because I didn't take her to see my daughter right away. That's really not it at all. I was just trying to protect my relationship with my daughter and her mother. I'm sure there are plenty of people on here that can sympathize with trying to avoid pissing off the mother of your child, or children. I'm not even sure that She would be mad, I just wanted to talk to her about it face to face before I brought around a new face.

When I was on my way home last night, my my gf called my on the cell and accused me of cheating and being ashamed of her and trying to exclude her from my life. She was completely drunk screaming at me that she never wanted to see me again and all this other shit. So aparently, her and some of her friends got really drunk and put 3 lbs of sugar in my gas tank. Mostly her idea I think though. They also stuffed potatoes, I mean stuffed, they used a broom stick ( i'm guessing) them into my exhaust.

I'm pretty sure that I'm not going to be seeing her anymore at this point. When I was tipped off today about what happened, I was in disbelief, I had no idea that people could be that childish at our age.

So what do I do? Do I get the police involved now? The ex admitted to everything and offered to pay for the repairs to my car. Since I really liked the girl, I was apt to forgive her, but then an hour later she gets all crazy again. So I don't know what to think.

Don't wory about the car, I found out about it beofre I ever started the engine and tried to drive it. I had just finished painting it last week and I haven't gotten it all put back together yet.

So what do you guys think? Did I cause this whole situation by being an inconsiderate bastard, or was the gf being disrespectfull, inconsiderate bitch by trying to trump herself over my precious time with my daughter? I'm feeling it's the latter. I'm also still in shock and don't know if this is really my fault or not.

This is just crazieness.

Holy crap... potatoes? What the heck? At least those aren't in your tank, too. Sounds like she's got some issues man.

Well, if you can prove she did it, then you can press charges. As what she did is illegal (vandalism at the very least). It may be worth calling them and just asking if they can do anything. I feel for you man, I would be livid if somebody did that to any of my vehicles.

Sugar in the gas tank..........thats way messed up! I'd kick her to the curb, and make her pay for everything. A man's car is not to be messed w/ like that.....thats just wrong.

I agree with the rest. Its really childish to be doing something like that. You are completely right for wanting to wait a bit to bring her in, and took all the right actions. She evidently overreacted and to make it worse, got drunk. Im sorry that that happened to you. But I say shes got to go. Anybody that is willing to destroy someone else's property over and assumption obviously has issues.
