Exclamation Tune Info

Hey i tried searching but no posts really satisfyed my questions

I hear you guys talking about tunes and chips and i find myself kinda lost in all the termanology and process of how its done so if any one could guide me to a website on he process and how it all works

There are tons of discussion with regards to tuning, you just need to search in the Duratec forum.

Basically you would purchase an ECU flasher which allows you to upload tunes to your car. New tunes can also be downloaded via the internet and uploaded to your flasher.

Basically, you buy the xCal2 (or Diablo...whatever), get a tune from somewhere (a base tune, or one that is done for bolt-ons) or have it dyno tuned by a shop. This 'tune' is kind of like a file that is written over the stock file on the ECU...this is known as 'flashing' the ECU.
