i hate carwashes

so i went through the carwash today. I get in there no biggie, starts washing, everything's fine, until....it gets to the power wash, as it's coming around the rear edge of my door a gush of water pours in! i guess i did notice that it always sounded like my doors were open a crack but thought nothing of it until now. and now that i look at it closer neither of the doors are flush, they're sticking out on the rear about a 1/8 inch from the rest of the car. so i checked the seals, they all look good, but it still leaks like a sieve. any suggestions?

also....... me....wasn't thinking...i just got the car...it's lowered.....auto carwash......scraping frame.....not good....never again shall i go through an autowash with a lowered car!!!!

I had the opposite problem in my truck. The car wash i went to had the guide thing your driver's tires go in to keep you in line and my mud tires were too wide for it...

oh gosh yeah i havn't had problems yet with them, besides they never get my car completely clean usually miss the back end. One of the best AutoWashes I went to was a Brushless one. It was all water pressure and that. I was skeptic at first. my svt was really dirty we came over some mountains in the winter so it was gnarly andi was like no way with out any brushes. Well to my suprise that was one of the best car washes i have ever been to. If there was one around home I would goto it more often.

I just finished hand-washing my Focus out on the driveway, and that's the only way it gets washed. No machines can do it better, right through to the final sqeegeeing and towel dry. The most well-spent half-hour of my day.

I just washed mine in the dark. No bueno. I can't tell if it's dry or not. Oh well, tomorrow or monday comes the clay baring and waxing. It's been so long since she had a good coat of wax.

Sorry to hear about your car. I had an old Cavalier and went through a car wash that had the brushes. I watched to brush rip the antenna off my car, get stuck in the brissles and continue to hit my car over and over again. I did get almost a $1000 for the damage, but damn the anger I felt while going through that car wash.
