i got jacked !

i went out to my car monday morn to go to work and found my window busted out, and my $1500 sound system gone.

my hood was open, and my battery cables were cut.

ford tells me the factory alarm is only a door sensor. doesnt siren when the windows are broken.

here is what i think happened -
they bust out the window and reach in and pop the hood.
cut the battery cables, then procede to open the door and jack my shit with the alarm disabled.

Insurance is paying for the repairs to the glass, dash, and battery cables. .
there going to cut me a check for $1000 for my stereo system. im still out $500 plust my $250 deductable, but better than nothing i guess.

let that be a warning to fellow focus drivers that the factory alarm sucks !

Man that blows...something similar happened to my friend's Xb.

We came out to go to lunch and he got in his car and was like, "where's my psp?" Looked in his backseat to find that his snowboard, bindings, boots, and psp were all gone. Got out of the car and saw that they popped the lock right out of the door handle.

^^As an agent...

Your payout will be determined by receipts, will incorporate depreciation, and will only pay for equipment that is permanently affixed to the vehicle. Also, unless you disclose your custom equipment to the company, they are much less likely to pay out (especially without receipts.)

i have progressive insurance, and so far they have been really easy to deal with. they are taking care of everything.
after i made the claim, they sent out a tow truck to pick up the car and take it to the dealership for repairs. they got me a rental to drive in the mean time, and they are going to write me a check for $1,000 for my sound system.

im using that money on a clifford alarm system with a battery back up, shock sensors and window sensors, and pager on the remote.

I will also be getting a diff cd player, so my clarion accessores such as sirius interface and ipod interface will be up for sale if anyone is intrested.

something like 18 monthes back my mother backed a truck into my tiburon... ya

anyway, we call insurance and after a while on the phone, its covered. bring it to maaco, nope, has to be the dealership. so we bring it there, send the quote, they ok it and the work gets done.

a week later the dealership calls and asks "why no payment?" The insurance company then says that it cant be covered. My aunt calls from the law firm where she works and needless to say, they change thier minds.

iv paid a good penny for the last five years to this company and they try to rip me for a fender and some paint. what was all that money i gave them for?
