Door lock problem (wont Unlock)...

Ok so I just bought the car about a month ago but i havent had time to talk to the dealership (i have once but didnt help). My pass back door wont unlock at ALL. The power unlock makes a weird noise in that door and I cant even unlock it manually OR OPEN IT. I have a sedan with 3 doors... not really but thats what its like. How hard would it be for me to open the doors insides and fix it myself? and does anyone know how? my Gf's dad opened it once but I havent been able to open it sence. please help

its not hard to take the panel off, all you need is a basic set of allen wrenches, and a 10 mm socket

just find all of the screws and take those out, and on the door handle, pry the cover off, and there should be two 10 mm bolts there, take those out, and then take the door panel off
