my first taste of a sti

so i was a local car gathering here at usc and a guy comes in with a 07 sti. so i start bs with the guy and say take me for a quick spin in it. he took for a little ride and to tell you the truth, i wasn't all that impressed with it. it felt like it didn't have as much pull as my svtf with the turbo kit on it. does anybody else have a experience like this?

It probably didnt Kyle. The power to weight ratio was greater on your car. But they are still an awesome car.

It could easily be due to your expectations. It's like watching a movie that has a lot of hype. Sometimes it may be a pretty decent movie, but because your expectations were so high, the movie may seem quite ordinary.

I have a long list of kills in my past vette. The stock STi's i raced at the track were all around 13.3@ 100mph..the modded ones were mid 12's.The regular WRX's were around 14.3.The reason i say "around",because thats with a good driver, the times get worse with a rookie driver.I never raced an 07 STi,don't know if they added power or what...I just don't like the looks of those cars at all.Just my 2 cents.

A stock STi will trap anywhere from 102-105mph. You're trapping at almost 110mph. Obviously your car will pull harder. It wouldn't take much time or money to get more power out of the scoobie though.
