Mine IS bigger !

There was recently a picture on here of a huge turbo off of something. So I thought I would share a few pictures of my big piston. I actually have three of them ( Army depot auction ).. They are diesal, haven't figured out what they are out of yet. Each piston and rod assmbly weighs in at about 1200 pounds. They are all cast iorn. That is a size 13 shoe just for reference. One con-rod is going to hold my mail box this summer, and a piston is going to be upside down as a waste basket with a trash bag inside.

Actually that turbo IIRC isn't a turbo but a giant industrial fan of some kind.

The pistons on most ships disconnect at the piston and piston rod for easy removal engine stops running your out of luck if you cant fix it easily.
