RHD american Focus

For all the owners who have done RS and ST170 modifications. Has anyone ever considered going all out and doing a right hand drive conversion?

I see alot of Skyline conversions are RHD and think it looks cool. It would be a real headturner driving down the highway from the wrong side of the car.

I thought most skylines are RHD anyway.

I would say that to import a car would be as much as importing all the parts that would make the car into a RHD!

Not the skyline itself but the conversion. Yes it would be expensive but again-great cool factor.

To my knowledge, all Nissan Skylines are right hand drive. There is no conversion. That is just how they are made. I believe it is because of how the engine is positioned inside the engine bay. No room for the steering components on the left side. That is why they make the Skyline right hand drive. I have never seen a left hand drive Skyline.

If you are gonna go for it.....you might as well go for the gusto. Just swap in the Skyline engine and tranny and make the Foci all wheel drive. Do it right!!!!

I will jump in as a Skyline afficianado. ALL Nissan Skylines are RHD. I does have a little to do with the engine being mounted but more to do with that their has never been a Skyline made for America. Yes you can import a R32 or R33 but no R34's can currently be imported. In 2008 Nissan will release their new Skyline as an 08-09 model. This will be that new body style more or less that you see pics of online. This will also be the first Skyline made to meet or exceed US Specs and will be LHD for us. Go to your local Nissan dealer if you have $20,000 laying around for a pre-order down payment on a car that will be based at $80,000 b4 the dealer markes it up to $100k.
