Good Bye SVT.. You were awesome

Well folks, The unthinkable has happened. I traded my SVT. If you read my last posts, you would know that I had to put a new clutch in the car. This happened after only 41,000 miles. I know how to drive a stick, so I found the failure of a clutch in that timeframe to be less than diserable. I really took care of my car. Take in consideration that I took my SVT DURING the warranty period because of the Clutch chattering that plagues all SVT. AT that time my car STILL had warranty.

I told them about the clutch TSB and that fell on deaf ears. More incredible was the fact that when the clutch finally started slipping (and of course I was out of my warranty), Ford said: Sorry, no can do. $1300 that "no can do" set me back.

They did not even tried to go at least half and half.

Even though I paid for the repair and they gave me a 1 year 12000 warranty, I was concerned. Having no Warranty and the obvious disregard by Ford, made me uneasy to keep this car. This is after owning 7 Ford vehicles back to back.

SO I decided to get something new and with a warranty.

So: 2007 Ion Redline Red Hot chilli pepper red With the competition package.

Supercharged 205 Hp Limited Slip with all toys.

Just one thing to say: DAMN I LOVE SUPERCHARGING!!!

However, The suspension does not even come close to the SVT.

I loved my car, but with a car payment, no warranty, and no backing by Ford.... It was not an easy decision. Trust me, I almost backed out.

I wanted to thank everyone in this website. I found that almost all the time, everyone would really try to help you if you had questions, and obviously, were as passionate about their ride.

I will say hi from time to time.

Thank you and my kindest regards to all of you in this site, especially those who took the time to read this post.

Sincerely.

Jose "Bonoman".

No worries. I would have done the same if my car was causing me problems like that. Don't forget to come back and visit us every once and a while and post some pics up of the new ride

Congrats on the new ride. I hate to hear that an ignorant dealership drove you away from your SVT.

Man, it's too bad that Ford F'ed you. They pretty much refused to do any warranty work for me after my first year; oh what a year that was!

The Focus and SVT _could_ be a nice car but the engineering behind them sucks.

Well Ford is about bankrupt, they seem to want to share the misery.
