Best Engine Oil for Fuel Economy?

What's the best engine oil I can throw in my car to get the best possible fuel economy? Right now I use Motorcraft standard synthetic blend that ford recommends in those red quart bottles. Any other suggestions and ppl's fuel milage? Thanks

The thinest 5w20 possible.
but it wont make much of a difference maybe .25mpg at most.

if you want best mpg change your driving style.. it would be a much better
improvement in mpg

The car is used for point A to B driving, nothing more. My driving habits are probably comparable to an asian grandmother's. Really. Just curious about if I can get my atx car to hold on to 30+ mpg... noticed that in the summer I've been able to do 400+ miles per tank. Now I'll be lucky to squeeze out 320!

I've had good luck with mobile1. I used it in my engine, transmission (5 speed), and rear axle housing, not to mention all bearings and lube points were well taken care of. Mobil makes all sorts of different lubricants, not just oil. That was on my 95 GMC Sonoma with the 4.3 v6, and I've cracked 33-34 mpg on long road trips with the cruise set at 75. Not bad for a truck rated around 25-26 freeway. There's always a way to squeeze out a little bit more mpg, harder (and taller) overall tire diameter, gearing, and a well maintained vehicle will do the trick. Suprisingly enough, waxing the wee-wee out of your car helps too, I always kept a good thick show quality layer on it and it did great. Long story short, oil is only one step in the process.

A good light weight synthetic will help a little. But I doublt youll see much in the way of real numbers. Im using amsoil TSO which is a 0W-30 synthetic. I have no idea if it made a change, but I get it cheap. :)
