several topics in one post

First foremost, I'm a newb to the forums. I am, as of 1/22/2007 12:30 p.m. CST , a Neon convert. I just purchased a 2003 Pitch Black Focus SVT and already have a few questions about it.
Question #1:
The previous owner put angel eye projector headlights on the car and it seems like they are backwards. When the lights are on normally the inside lights are on. When have the highs on the outside lights are on. Something tells me this is ass backwards. Am I correct on this assumption?
Question #2:
What is the normal ride height of a SVT? I seems to me like the previous owner has lowered the car because is seems to rub the tire and bottom out too easily when I hit bumps and take turns. The car doesn't really have enough miles on it make me think that the springs or struts are worn out. Any thoughts on that?

I can't say much about the headlights but you shouldn't be scraping in stock trim unless your tires are to big, OE size is 215/45/75. I'm lowered about .5in and I still don't run. Got any pics?

I've heard about the light issue before, let me see if I can find something for you real quick...

I just searched a little and couldn't find anything, but I swear I've heard this before. The wiring is probably backwards or something, worst case scenario you'll probably have to switch 2 wires on each side.

that or leave it be...i know it's a personal preference.. but if when you are driving you are getting adequate lighting to the point that it doesn't seem dimmer than it normally would be.. you could just leave it alone

If the rims are aftermarket with more offset they will rub.My Konig Hurrys with 215/45/17's rubbed in front on good bumps.(stock springs)Not bad but they would rub.

WELCOME!!!!

I had angel eyes that worked like that....you could switch the wires to change what lights came on.....unless they are the Hellas, or a good brand, I'd say eBay themm, get stock lights, and put silverstars in them.

everything about this car is stock except for the headlights. also another thing i noticed that you pretty much get the rub when making right turns.

for your headlights, all you have to do is pop them out.....There's only 3 Bolts holding them on with 1 plastic retainer screw. The you'll see the wires going from High Beams, Side closest to grille and a wire from the Low Beams, closest to your fender. Just swap those wires around and you're golden

Or you can just live with the fact that when your low-beams are on the Hi-Beam Indicator stays on and when Hi-Beams are on your Hi-Beam Indicator is off. Basically it's backwards of what it should be, unless you pop open the headlight and flip the wires around.

You can pick up the Stock SVT Suspension for around $250 + shipping if you're wanting to return it back to stock

Post some pics of your car and we can tell you if it's lowered. I'm all stock and I scrub some when turning at high speeds.

Well I took a look at the tires today and they are slightly larger than stock size. They were 225 45 17 and if I remember correctly the 225 is just the width of the tire. Here's some pictures of the car still on the lot may be you can make out whether or not it's lowered.

Along the line of the light I'm just have to suck for right now until I can take a look at the wiring this weekend.
