I think you should boost the focus you will get more performance out of that than you other choices, take a look at a 2003 GTI or 2006 GTI. See what a chip does to those engines before you buy another car. Maybe a R32 as well.

Focus! As long as you change the oil and do the regular tune ups, it should last.

I'd go with the WRX or keep your Focus and boost it. The Mazdaspeed Protege is a nice car, but it only pushes something like 5 PSI and uses the same engine as the normal Protege-its not built at all, hence the 5 PSI. It has potential if you want to build the engine, but by then you could just build your Focus engine and boost it. SRT-4...unless you're only driving in a straight line forget about it.

I would've loved to own a MS Protege if I could have found one. Interior is Nardi and Sparco bits, power output wasnt too great sure, but its handling was supposed to be sublime. It was lined up with the SVTf once, by Edmunds I think, and trumps the Focus's numbers in objective handling measures. I'd love to own one.

I have a SRT-4, I love it, besides my payments being high (bought brand new) its a great car, haven't had any issues with it, got a 60k mile warranty, get to hear the blow off valve after every hard shift and its still under warranty woot woot!

The Best is going by a dude and his g/f windows down, shift hard pulling up on left side and look at the puzzled look on his g/fs face and he knows he doesn't stand a chance in his 120hp riced civic :)

Just my thoughts!
