getting mad...

my car has problems starting and the dealer says that i flood the engine, how i do not get it... is not carburetter... also, the gaps on the body works starts to kill me... the back hatch makes a pop noise like is not closing well, but when i took it in, they said the rubber bumps were not adjusted, but now the damn hatch stays on one side ok (right) and on the left stays like its not closed... i am not sure if i should put more money into this, since the new yaris hatch looks more and more appealing...

forgot to mention the back brakes that make a constant whine when warmed up when brakes are applied... also they were changed, so was the right back bearing for g up at 16k, and the front brakes too... i am not sure i should drop around 2-3k in it, so later i have to traded it in...

Find a different dealer.. or trade it in.. not much i can say or do to help.. enless your venting.. then vent on.. reguardless of the car, everything man made has problems.. so you never know, you could get the other car and it be a lemon.. who knows... i say find anoyher dealer, that is more willing to look into the problems.. before you go any further..

I agree with GS. You can buy a lemon from anyone- it even happens with toyotas. Even if it was perfect when it left the factory, bad things can happen during transit, dealer prep, or test drives.

What you need is a dealer who will work with you- make sure you are happy. Good dealers will fight with Ford to help you get what you paid for.

Lousy dealers will weasel out of doing anything by pointing to the fine print in your warranty.

Find a dealer who will go to war for you.

The ECU should not let the engine flood, usually if the TPS sees a higher than normal voltage during start up it will not let the injectors fire because the ECU thinks the engine is flooded and you have the TB at WOT trying to clear it out.

Can you smell lots of gas after trying to start it? It's also possible that it might be "flooding" not because your giving it too much gas but maybe your battery is slightly low. Sometimes it has enough amps to turn the motor over like it's fine, but then it won't have enough amps left over to give good spark. So it just fills the engine with unburned gas.

Either way, sounds like a lemon. Take it back.

well... no water in the gas... but after some sitting around, i come back to the car and it won't start. it will take about 1-4 tries to do it... one time was 13 times, i was pissed... its like it does not get gas. the engine turns just fine but no spark/etc... also, the gaps are kinda up, and i think is the back hatch being uneven from the manufacture... i wonder if it will rain inside. i will take it there today, but starts to get on my nerves.... not sure if it a lemon, but is not fun either. i do also know that all cars have problems, my toyotas had allignment and body integrity problems, but this are rather odd problems. i really do not want to fix it, and then wake up the engine is all up or else....
