Mitsubishi Evo X Concept @ NAIAS

Looks pretty good to me compared to the current model . . . but the profile is still a little too Galant-ish. I LOVE the new interior though, finally something to compete with Saab sourced STI interior.
Quote:
The big news under the sheetmetal is the automated manual six-speed gearbox, although no indications are currently available as to whether it uses a single layshaft and clutch or if two are used to minimize torque drop during shifts (a conventional five-speed manual will be offered on the production Evo X). The S-AWC automatic center diff splits the power to the front and rear, with Mitsubishi's Active Yaw Control rear diff and Active Skid Control stability control keeping all that turbocharged fury under control. And just how much fury might we expect? Mitsubishi states that final ratings are not available pending ongoing development, but promises that this will be the most powerful Evo ever, aided by an "over-engineered" open-deck block and reciprocating assembly that were optimized for use with high boost levels.

Much better looking imo. Though the back looks exactly like an Alfa 147 minus the wing.

Still undecided about the front end... I like the front of the new Subie quicker than I like this front... the rest looks pretty good though.

I've finished browsing the gallery, and it's official that I love the car. Hopefully I'll be able to afford one of these when they hit the market.

very nice love it, interior looks really good now, and not so raw. Is that suede on the dash and door trim...whatever it is it looks nice and beats the hell outta regular plastic.

I'll take one in black

Whats with everybody doing this tall front grill? Not to say I don't like it, it just seems like the auto industry goes in these big swings where one person gets an idea, and 3 years later, everybody has the same idea.
