Made a mistake today...

Ok at the mall today i went to close the door of my girlfriends car and when i grabbed it i kinda pushed out and then pulled the door causing it to bump against the truck next to us. Of course someone was in it and they got out. It was dark but neither of us could see any mark. It hit the black strip that alot of dodge pickups have along the bottom middle of the door (i think it actually serves as a bump stop). Well she was kinda mad but didnt see anything so we both got back in our cars and left. Although it didnt leave a mark, at least i dont think it did, i still feel like a real ass.

Should i get over it? or Feel shitty about it for a few days?

Jut get over it. :)

The owner was there, looked it over, and said there was no damage. If she didn't ask for insurance info, then its all over.

Just a fact of life parking in lots, and one of the reasons I park off in "outer space".

The reason you feel bad is because you did not intend to do it,and understand how some people feel about their vehicles. What gets me are the slobs that open their doors into you,and then don't understand how you can be upset about a little scratch or dent..After all,it's just a car.

my brother accidently hit my 05 focus door with his 01 focus door. bad thing was that mine was silver and his was yellow and it left a mark... lol but now i have a new fofo... and i forgave him... ANYTHING can be fixed, anything, just have the time and patience and it'll happen.

That's fine. You got out and talked to the person. I'm sure you appologized and such and there was no harm done. It's the people who blatantly don't give a and open their doors hard as if you weren't there at all who should be hung.

I remember once during high school a girl I knew was talking to one of her friends about how the other day she and a different friend were in her car and were backing out of a parking space. She said she accidentally backed into a small truck kind of hard. Never got out to check how bad it was or anything. She just drove off. I looked at her across the room and said "You know what?.... You're the kind of person I hate." I stared at her. She got up and left quietly. Now granted it was a little extreme, but I still had a little bit of angry teenager in me and I still feel it was justified.
