duratec- IM LOVIN IT

so me n my cousin went out for a trip to do a lil rallying in my fofo, it was fun took some nice corens e-braking and sliding around the corners, a few where icey and i did s 360 a few times

so after that he want to try the focus, he drove a svt and he liked it so i said sure. he takes off froma dig and just punches it, and hes a very skilled driver so he drove it like it was a race car(hes owned many gfast cars like fastbacks, fox bodys, ole mustangs and such), he got that car moving so fast, so quick i couldnt believe it was my car, his shifts where perfect and super fast, within seconds i looked over and he was already at XXX and i nearly crapped myself lol, these duratecs do move along if ya drive them good, and he did just that, boy was i impressed and i cant wait til i can drive it that well, i wish i woulda caught a 0-60 time but i was having so much fun watching my car haul ass i didnt think of it

ill ask him again sometime and maybe video tape it, he chirped the tires goinginto 2nd and going into 3rd

Shift before you hit redline and you'll bark 'em too. Right about the time you see the needle hit the 6k mark is a good point of reference.

Your cousin was probably listening to the motor, but you can learn how to do that with practice. Just don't go driving any rotary motors without looking at the tach

i love my dura also... i ONLY have a CAI on my car... my brother has an 01 zx3 with a zetec and he has a cai, 2.5 exhaust and plug wires... and stupidly with my lovely g/f in the car. my brother and i were messing around and we S*t raced once at a light, just from idle, and i kept with him, maybe even got a bumper on him... not much. but from idle and i was shifting at 5500 and when he goes against me, he'll do anything to beat me... even redline his car in every gear... but me... i ALWAYS shift at 5500 when racing... because i remember hearing thats when the power curve starts to fall...

When you let go the gauses will wig out. Press the reset button 16 times to display a digital tach. It will read as t XXXX with the Xs being your rpms.
