Some general bumper to bumper warranty questions

Well, I woke up this morning to a busted left foglight...lots of shattered glass. I will be taking my car in on tuesday to have warranty work done, and I wanna find out from you guy's what will and what won't be covered by my warranty. Here is a list of things I want fixed on my '04 SVT ZX3.

It has 36,000 B2B warranty and 100K powertrain. It is at 31,500 miles on the odometer.

-Left front foglight needs replacing
-Clutch still works fine, but I'm thinking about doing the TSB since i'll be there anyways.
-there is a noise every time I turn, it's in the back seat left side panel..it sounds like if you were to drop a penny into a jar...it's straight annoying as hell.
-when I try and close my sunroof, it opens back up..then i close it again, it opens back up, and on the third press I have to hold the button down to get it shut all the way...also quite annoying.
-my brakes are squeeky, but they have plenty of pad left in front and back.
-one of the wires connected to the MAF was somehow burnt into the head, so there is a burn mark right on the head.
-alignment needs to be done.

So what will I get done free of charge folks??

Thanks ya'll and MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Oh ya..and Happy Chanukkah. Ah...screw it...Happy Quanza (sp?). Happy...Rhamadan?

depends on how much yyour dealership cares, or how lazy they are, are's only does the bare minimum, and it sucks if you dont buy a car from them they wont help out at all in extra sense if a wire got pulled, so yea i think im scrwed now lol...
i think brakes might not be covered, they might just shoot some wd40 on it
alignment i dunno, if they do let me know, i need one done too lol
your foglight will be a no rest should be covered

The squeak could be from partially glazed rotors. Thats the only thing that will generally cause a squeak outside of the warning tabs that cause a squeak when the brake pads get low. I don't think they will do the alignment, as I recall its not covered under any of the warranties, as technically you could knock it out every time you hit a pot hole. Brakes are also not generally covered unless there is a recall, although I think there is a clause that states they will be replaced if you have less than 12k miles on the car.

[QUOTE=turbovation;1368724]

-Left front foglight needs replacing - Should get fixed
-Clutch still works fine, but I'm thinking about doing the TSB since i'll be there anyways. - Why do you want parts changed that aren't bad? Replacement parts go bad as well. Why would Ford?
-there is a noise every time I turn, it's in the back seat left side panel..it sounds like if you were to drop a penny into a jar...it's straight annoying as hell. - That's questionable, I assume they will not be able to duplicate
-when I try and close my sunroof, it opens back up..then i close it again, it opens back up, and on the third press I have to hold the button down to get it shut all the way...also quite annoying. - That should be fixed
-my brakes are squeeky, but they have plenty of pad left in front and back. - No chance, wear items.
-one of the wires connected to the MAF was somehow burnt into the head, so there is a burn mark right on the head. - No chance
-alignment needs to be done. - No chance

Just bring a pretty face and a friendly manner and things should get moving rather nicely.

thanks a bunch Pspringe!

The foglight and the sunroof are really the most annoying next to the squeeky brakes. Do you guy's think there is anything I can spray on the rotors or in the pads that will alleviate the problem?

From past experience. Also, as others have said, the dealer plays a large role. Hopefully you have a good one. Might want to ask around on here, to find one people have had good luck with. Also helps to take the car where you bought it (esp if you bought it new).
