Update on my 88 323 GTX : The ass-kickery has commenced

Well, I've gotten a lot of work done to the GTX. Biggest thing was getting it up and running again succesfully. Today I really went though and detailed it. Its on its 4th coat of wax I bought it. Actually, today I buffed it then sealed it. Man, this car is really starting to come along! I also shampooed the interior, what a huge difference. It actually smells clean. I love it!

Last weekend I swapped turbos and found my stock IHI RHB5 VJ14 turbo was bad. You could actually grab the center nut on the inlet and move the turbine back and forth about 1/8th of an inch. Thrust bearings are likely fubar'ed. No matter, the IHI VJ11 is in place along with a 2.5" downpipe and no cat. The turbo is a bit laggier, but 16psi come on so strong now. It actually throws you back!

Next up, suspension. I still havent landed on a final decision. Its a toss between a few options...TEIN Basic's are winning. Minor redrill and some shims and we're in bidness. I am also going to poney up for some front and rear cusco pillowball/ camber plates.

The Rotas should be arriving shortly...

Rust repair, dings fixed, fresh paint (oem red/ grey two tone) and window tint coming soon!

More pics coming soon too....I wish I coulda taken some freshly detailed pics today before I pulled the car out into the rain. It was almost a crime to pull it out of the shop and into the rain today.

You've got a rally car - I'd vote for rally suspension -> http://www.dmsnorthamerica.com/
