Well, about the body kit, that sucks. Are the pics on the FJ thread the body kit in question? It looks like a very nice design, clean and simple but different. Too bad it's being made and sold by scumbags who stole the design apparently?

Yes the kit is on the red sedan. I believe mrz horsepower can shine some light on this situation for us.

That's totally screwed up, that's why I hate buying from companies that I don't know and especially ebay stuff. It just isn't worth the hassle later on.

The thread on FJ describes it all for the most part.

The thing is, I did a rendering/design last year, late February, and we next-dayed that, with the proposal to Ford on Feb 28th, for Saturday delivery. I have all the sketches, the renderings in the computer, etc., and Ford also has the copy of the proposal. The car was in their booth at SEMA 2003. The Ford designers know that Jeff and I designed it, and walked the 'tooler' through the changes that we wanted done along the way. And of course, there's The Jet, and FF, etc. etc. The magazine editors know who we are (and we've known most of them for a long time), they know that kit, AND that car is 'ours'. We also know many people at Ford, and they're going to be made aware of these goings-on as well. One of the F2 partners (supposedly) is backing up now and being 'nice', offering us this, that, and the other thing. I don't trust anyone. Especially a fly-by-night company who shows up at IAS with a turbo kit (with a 50 shot!) with no ECU tuning or fuel solution.

So we'll see.

I love the Focus. I'd love to be able to have a side business, selling cool stuff just for our cars (along with t-shirts and such so we can brag about what we drive). Not only for the 'show crowd', but for all you track junkies out there as well. Companies that come into this market with shady product just to make a quick buck piss me off. There's too many enthusiasts out there that spend a lot of their hard-earned money on their cars, and you deserve better.

Nice... I just put 2 and 2 together (sorry, its a blonde thing)

"Quick", who posted those pics from IAS in the other thread (of course showing our car as well), is obviously touting http://www.qeiracing.com/index.php which happens to be a BODYKIT MANUFACTURER

Lovely!

I hope this comes to a decent conclusion. But we have the right muscles to flex if need be. All the connections we've made over the years sure come in handy in times like this. Especially as those connections become promoted to Managing Editor, VP of Marketing, etc. Not to mention the ones inside Ford itself.
