WRX or Speed 3 (same price)

With the discounts on GM vehicles, my MG Supplier discount, and extra incentives I can get a 2006 Saab 9-2X Aero Manual for slightly less than a Mazdaspeed 3 with S-Plan (even after the taxes on the $26,000 Saab.) I really like the Mazdaspeed but the Saab is a real steal at that price. For those of you who donít now, a Saab 9-2X Aero is a Subaru WRX Wagon. The only drawback is that I can only get the Saab in RedÖI have never considered myself a red car guy. Anyway, what do you all think I should do? WRX or Mazdaspeed???

look into what has a better resale value in a couple years or look at the fact that the wrx= AWD and the ms3 has front wheel drive, or do they both have AWD? i'm not a fan of GM so i'd go with a ms3.

the ms3 is front wheel drive. i would go with the ms3. it is slower to 60 by a half second i think, but is faster to 100. it also handles better and IMO looks better

Definitely not a full half second slower in the 0-60. I think its more like a tenth to two-tenths of a second slower.

The wrx has a HUGE aftermarket, but I do like the mazda more myself. If you need the AWD, go with the saab, if not get the mazda. My 2 cents.

The Mazdaspeed6's aren't selling too well and there's Huge rebates and dealer incentives. I could have gotten a MS6 for the price i paid for my regular six, maybe less.........the MS6 also has AWD.....

Yes, and people there are videos of a stock Mazdaspeed 3 running 13.9 second quarter....so it's faster than a WRX once it gets some traction.

MS3 - though you'll have to check to see if your local dealer is MazdaSpeed certified... they work the same way as SVT dealers used to. Any Subaru dealer can work on a WRX, not true for the MS cars. if it had the sedan body and AWD, it would be perfect!

WRX - has AWD, but don't think you have to worry about snow too much! Subaru seems to have the most uncomfortable seats (consistantly) IMO... and the HID daytime running lights seem to be burning out at a high rate (not cheap to replace if out of warranty)

Saabaru - the ill begotten lovechild of the General and Subaru - it's life was over before it had a chance... at least you'd be able to get replacent parts (mechanical) from Subaru. weird wagon body style (only slightly uglier than the MS3 hatch!)
