wifey crashed my car!!! [?|]

she was putting the car in the garage and hit the side and crunched from the middle of the front wheelwell to about 8 inches down the side of the drivers side door. its pushed in but the door still opens and its not close to the wheel so its drivable. the car only has 1000 miles on it. i guess it needs a new fender and door skin, anybody have any idea how much it would cost to fix? she is just learning to drive and i don`t know if this is the first of many and maybe i should just leave it be. i wanted the svt sooo bad but she couldn`t learn to drive a stick so i had to buy an auto for her to learn. i figure $500 to fix which is what my deductable is, any thoughts? thanx

well the door will be expensive but the fender isnt bad at all.

haha as for her learning how to drive auto, as my father always said learning on a manual makes for a better driver... BUT, you would have dents in your SVT in that case. haha.

Ha, been looking myself for 2 doors. I got a quote and they said a new fender about $100 and doors $400, so yeah $500 is about right. Sorry for the car. At least she's okay, I thought maybe she got into outside with another car. Good thing she didn't. Good luck with repairs! And be more carefull next time.

Wow that sucks. Do you have an older car that you care less about than the Focus, that she could drive in while she learns?? C'mon man, she's gonna kill your Focus. Maybe even buy an oldie, like an 80's Honda Accord or something like that, so she can practice her reign of terror without denting the NEW car!

And girls pay less insurance than guys. Every wreck i've seen here in Tx a guy's in a wreck yet the girl caused. My mom crashed her car more than 6 times in the last 2 years, and my sister has caused several accidents, 2 many 2 count. Sry about your Focus dude.
