Legal question

Recently my brother who has an 02' altima got pulled over for having an altered exhuast. The cop said anything beyond stock is altered...he also got fined for removing the yellow reflectors in his front headlights. I'm gettn scared now cause I have the same 'offenses' on my car and nowi've always gotta keep my eyes open for those darn Staties . So what should I do? Keep my clear corners and replace the exhaust or spend the rest of my focus life with one eye constantly on the mirrors. HELP i'm scareddd....

It all depends on the State's law. I email my local PD and this is what they sent me:

"The turn signal and parking lights on the front need to be white or amber or a shade there in between. The turn signal and parking lights on the rear need to be red or amber or a shade there in between."

My Halos are bluish...and the amber grill parking lights have been disabled. Cops haven't complained, yet. Then again, I've printed out their email to show 'em before they give me crap.

My advice is to contact your local PDs and check what the law really is. If it's in black and white and you have a reliable source, you can't go wrong...

I know here if you get any sort of mods., then you do recon. But that's like the big kine mods, so here they don't really care if you change ur light colors (i.e. clear corners) or the exhaust. They just keep an eye on ur speed if they see you (hear you:).

I wouldn't worry about it, they are not going to pull you over for your clear corners. The CAT back would have to be loud for them to bother you. Just don't brake anyother laws that way they don't have a reason to check your car out up close.
