A Scary Thought

I was at Best Buy this morning and ran into someone I used to hang out with in the parking lot. He also drives a 2001 ZX3 and he happened to lock his keys in his car. I joking said "try my keys" and so he did. It open his locks as if they were his keys!!! That's a little scary that my keys opened his car. Anyone else ever experiance this?

The actual key worked, the remote did not.

Did you compare both keys ?? There is a finite number of combinations for the keys. It is posible your locks are keyed the same.

That is pretty scary, but probably just a coincedence.

When I was in high school I had a 1985 Ford Tempo and my stepdad had a 1988 Ford F-250. The ignition key for the Tempo would also work in the ignition of the F-250. I only discovered this the week I had wrecked the Tempo and got the keychains mixed up. When I realized they were the wrong keys I was pretty amazed because I never have come across a key that worked in two vehicles, and the fact that both vehicles were in my family was pretty cool. Think of the chances of that happening again, lol.

Dang, that is so scary. I am glad I don't know anyone around here who hates me or something, imagine what they might try to do.
