I made a thread about the new Xbox blocking used games but I can't find it.
Anyway new reports say the next PlayStation (code named Orbis) will do the same. They also say there will be no backwards compatibility. As for used games they're saying people can still trade in games but the buyer will have to pay a fee to unlock the full game.

Figures....I think EA was already doing that with some of their games. If you wanted to access the online content with a used game, you had to pay $10. Oh well, I'm not that pressed to play a game. I can certainly wait until I find it in a bargain bin, lol.

Why not just only offer downloadable games then?

Wow, now along with this and the uber' high cost of console games being 60 bucks. Looks like we will see the decline of consoles till they step up. Time to really try and beat the NES legend of zelda lol
