No one is arguing. They are trying to understand your situation and help you...

I've seen customers like you. Your just really unhappy with your purchase and nothing will satisfy you.

When I purchased my car I had the option of paying full price and having the rebate checks mailed to me, or sign them over to the dealer and have the rebate amount taken off the price.

I would go over the paper work again and look for this.

Also you say that the negotiated price was increased $200. What did the paper work you signed state for a price? If you signed the paperwork with the additional cost of $200 over what you negotiated then thats it. Now if for some reason you signed paper work and then the final paperwork you signed on delivery had a different price, then you have a case, imho.

I would go back and double check all of your paper work and numbers before saying that the dealer ripped you off. Not saying that it didn't happen, but you did sign the paperwork which would make it finaly, so in the end that doesn't make the dealer at fault.

i'm not "one of those customers that nothing will satisfy" i'm simply stating what happened. We negotiated $17,800 and then found out about the $395 rebate. He then added it on but the price was $17,600 and I didn't think about it (I know.. really stupid) and signed. And also they said the $500 college incentive would come in the mail.

For sales here: yes they should only apply the rebate as a down payment on the car....if you decide to take the rebate as cash you will get a check from the dealer not ford....I do this all the time

Now they told me that Ford sends the rebate to the dealer then the dealer sends it out to people. They said my "books were closed" so they have to investigate and see where my rebate is...

after going back and forth with dealership like 10 times, calling ford in detroit and filing complaint on dealership, and waiting 5 months, the dealership today said they are mailing it today.
they said that 2 months ago.
they promised to email me documentation today that they are sending it in the mail tomorrow.
funny thing is my regional customer service person called the dealership too. Ford apparently can do nothing about getting my money from the dealership becaues the dealerhsip is independantly owned an operated. the next step, if I dont get my check in the mail within a week is to complain to the owner of Sheehy.
by the way i looked up Sheehy of Gaithursburg on Better Business Beurou and it has an "F" for a grade with multiple complaints and unresolved problems/promises in the last 1-2 years.
you would think Ford would have more relative controll in the purchase and service delivery than they do, instead of leaving it to shiesty dealership management.

needless to say don't go to any Sheehy autostores.

An educated customer is the best customer. Live and learn. You have to look out for yourself. It is not Ford, but the dealership. Go to a good dealership and not be so hasty in the future. Ask friends, research and then proceed. I can't feel too much sympathy for you since you created your own issue. Do things right upfront next time. Good luck, don't get duped in the future. Sorry, but whining about 500 dollars is not cutting it with me right now. Enjoy your Focus.

just saying if you go to sheehy you can get a really good deal but their customer service and promises are horrible. just trying to warn others out there. but youre so busy being passive aggressive smarty pants you can't see that. enjoy being a douche.

Hi mishka,

I can document your feedback regarding your experience at Sheehy. To get started, send me a PM with your name, phone number, dealership name/location, and any details you'd like me to include.

Thanks!

Crystal
